Microsoft Zune-Wirelessly Transfer Music and Photos Video
Here’s a video of Zune wirelessly transferring songs and photos to another Zune.
It appears you can transfer songs to another Zune after which the recipient has three days to play it up to a maximum of three times.
So it occurs to me maybe it won’t be too difficult to wirelessly spam Zune users in crowded public spaces like subways or bus stops if the device takes off.
True users will need to approve the transfer first but like regular spam even a small percentage of curious Zune users may make it worthwhile for some company to rig up a wireless transmitter of some sort.
Of course it can be used for legitimate promotional purposes too. Imagine you are inside a HMV or Virgin music store and they send a promotional song of a record label artist they wish to promote automatically to your Zune music player. Or a coupon that expires after 3 days like the song transfers shown on the video.
